Ofsted expect more from school websites

In 2012 amendments were made to the School Information Regulations, which has increased the time and effort that schools must put into creating an on-line presence.

OFSTED now put a lot of emphasis on schools having up to date information on their websites. To many the task of keeping the content relevant and current might seem easy, almost fun. But for those who aren’t as computer savvy, this won’t be such a walk in the park. With the endless regulations of what must, and must not, feature on a school site, the person who is lucky enough to get the job of website maintenance had better prepare themselves for a slight challenge.

Unless….you have the relevant support. With software such as word press, maintaining content is becoming more and more simple. Upload a photo, delete a photo, edit text, add text, remove text.  It’s really not as daunting as it seems.
